Volunteers with this ministry have seen people who have had an apartment for several weeks who still sleep, eat, and sit on the floor. Basic furnishings make these spaces a home and increase the likelihood that people will be successful in staying in their places.
• Queen and Twin mattresses and box springs
• Small kitchen tables/chairs for 6 or less people
• Small Couches and Chairs
Other Items Accepted:
Gently used (not stained or broken) items you would consider a necessity to set up an apartment from scratch including:
• Beds (queen/full/twin size box springs/mattresses/frames)
• Dressers & night stands
• End tables/coffee tables
• Desks (small student-sized)
Items Not Accepted:
• Sectionals/XL couches
• King size beds
• Dining room table sets for 7+ people
• Decorative/china cabinets
• Toys/Baby items
If requested, a letter of donation from the church for tax purposes can be provided.
We have an Amazon wish list set up with the most needed items, ranging from lower cost sheets and pillows all the way up to kitchen table sets and sofas. Items can be purchased through Amazon and directly sent to our directors.View Amazon Wish List
